Abstract
:
This study aims to address one of the cyber crimes (Cyber blackmail crime) in the Saudi regulations, so as to uncover its nature, characteristics, forms and purposes, in addition to the rules of its criminalization and penalization, as well as the procedural rules governing it, whether at the stage of inference and investigation or at the stage of trial. The study objectives could be achieved using the descriptive analytical method, so it included an introductory section that addresses the nature of Cyber blackmail crimes, where the first chapter addresses the objective rules of the Cyber blackmail crimes, and the second chapter addresses the procedural rules governing the Cyber blackmail crimes. The study concluded a number of results, the most important of which is the difference between Cyber and traditional blackmail crimes regarding its characteristics, forms and procedural rules governing it. The study also provided recommendations for the concerned authorities to create cybercrime-related hearing chambers in the courts, as they have special characteristics and require certain expertise, not to mention the need to raising societal awareness of the dangers of the cyber blackmail crimes, its methods, and the penalties imposed on it in the Saudi regulations.
