Trademark Registration Procedures in Saudi Arabia An analytical Study of the Gulf Trademark Law in the light of International Agreements Prepared by:Razan Aldosari, Supervised by:Prof.Naïf AlShareef The study addressed with the procedures for trademarks registration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by presenting and analyzing the position of the trademarks law of the Arab Gulf. and Comparing it with the provisions of the Paris and TRIPS Agreement.The problem of the study lies in the extent of compatibility between trademark registration procedures in accordance with the trademark law of the Gulf Cooperation Council states with the relevant international agreements? This study was divided into four sections.The introductory section dealt with the nature of trademarks, then in the first section the nature of trademarks registration, in the second section we mentioned the procedures for trademarks. In the last section we dealt with objection to trademark registration it is being registered.The most important Conclusions and recommendations reached by the researcher, as follows, one of the most notable results was that, unlike the Gulf trademarks law, which mentioned special provisions for trademark registration procedures, which both of Paris and TRIPS agreements did not contain provisions for this,but rather they came with general principles and fundamental for trademark protection.The property rights,TRIPS Agreement left the trademark registration procedures and contents of application for the law of each member state to set what suits it.The Paris and TRIPS conventions did not contain any special provisions regarding to the determination of the method for checking and filing trademarks,and left the freedom to legislate each member state to adopt the method that suits it.Among the most important recommendations its add a text requiring the trademark registration applicant to state in the registration application the purpose for which he is registering a group of mark
