Abstract
:
This study aims to identify the impact of ethical leadership on level of achieving administrative transparency. The study was applied to the staff of the General Administration of Education in Jeddah Governorate. Then the descriptive analytical approach was used in the study, the researcher also used the questionnaire to collect preliminary information. The study population consists of all employees of the General Administration of Education in Jeddah Governorate who number approximately (46,466). Where a stratified random sample was chosen from the community and its size was (381) from teachers and administrators. The study reached several results, including that there is a positive impact of the practice of ethical leadership on the level for administrative transparency, through the application of laws and regulations without discrimination. The results also showed that the administration is updating information about the laws and regulations that organizing the work on an ongoing basis, and there are positive indications that show a role for the exercise of ethical leadership at the level for administrative transparency. That is like providing modern communication technologies, and employing them to reduce the necessary effort, which contributes to achieving administrative transparency. Moreover, among the challenges that affect ethical leaders in applying administrative transparency is the lack of involvement of employees in decision-making processes. Moreover, the lack of multiple communication channels to receive the complaints of the auditors. The study also has advised several recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of maintaining the positive pattern of ethical leadership practice in education departments. In addition, the necessity of informing its employees of the laws and legislations regulating work as soon as they are issued, simplifying work procedures, providing modern communication technologies, and giving employees full powers to complete tasks without referring to management.
