This study explores the study of sleep in the Holy Quran and Sunnah as an objective study by collecting the verses and the hadiths which include the word and its derivatives and what is in its meaning, then studying it and drawing the benefits from it.
The importance of the subject in the following matters: First: the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the subject of sleep and related to its importance in the life of the Muslim because it is a necessities of life, and second: the study of the book of God Almighty through studying the verses of sleep and think about the greatness of God's creation and accuracy of creation in all, : That the slave should know Adab and Sunan and the guidance of the Prophet peace be upon him and follow him in all things including sleep and how it was a gift in it.
The research consists of an introduction, four chapters, conclusion, and indexes.
The introduction have the subject importance, reasons for choosing the topic, research objectives, methodology, previous studies, and research proposal.
Preamble: brief history of genesis of the Interpretation Science, its development, Objectivity Interpretation Definition and it's benefits.
Chapter One: Definition of Sleeping, it's Synonym and it's Opposites including three sections:
•Section One: Reality and Meaning of Sleeping.
•Section Two: The Sleeping in Saying of Interpreters, Doctors and Psychologists.
•Section Three: Arrangement of Sleeping Matter, it's Derivatives and it's Synonyms Statically in the Holly Quran .
Chapter Two: Sleeping Verses in the Holly Quran including five sections: •Section One: In the saying of God: (الله لا اله الا هو الحي القيوم لاتاخذه سنة ولا نوم ).
•Section Two: Sleeping is a verse and a blessing from the grace of God.
•Section Three: The sleeping and death .
•Section Four: The sleeping and resurrection.
•Section Five: The sleeping, visions and dreams.
Chapter Three: The Prophet Guidance of the Sleep including Preamble and three sections:
•Preamble: In that the Prophet sleeps his eye and does not sleep his heart.
•Section One: sleeping times and places.
•Section Two: Sleep etiquette.
•Section Three: Sleep supplications
Chapter Four: Sleep and servitude including Four sections:
•Section One: Purity and sleeping.
•Section Two: praying and sleeping.
•Section Three: Fasting and sleeping.
•Section Four: Matters related to sleep.
Conclusion: findings and recommendations.
