Abstract
:
The problem in the study: To highlight some of the difficulties faced by small businesses and reduce its role in the development of the Saudi economy and the difficulties addressed by this study: lack of national employment, and reliance on expatriate labor- absence of the regulatory framework, the private sector in general and small enterprise sector in particular- deficiencies in the funding of some lending institutions. Therefore, the objectives of the study are: to highlight the important role that represents small businesses in the Saudi economy- finding appropriate solutions for the employment of national manpower- create the regulatory framework to support the small projects, and policy-making and have a put option cohesion and integration as an alternative from the competition- Development of financing mechanisms for small and ensure that credit extended to them. To achieve the overall objective of the study was conducted a field study on the managers of small projects have been compiled data for this study using a list of a questionnaire prepared for that purpose, was tested after this data entered into the computer, using some statistical methods. The study contains five chapters, Chapter I: Introduction to the study and previous studies. Chapter II: the importance of small projects and the most important contemporary problems and challenges. Chapter III: small projects and the development of the Saudi economy. Chapter IV: Analysis of the results of the study. Chapter V: Conclusions and recommendations. The results showed: the importance of attracting the small enterprise sector of the national labor, with the introduction of qualified workers. The importance of creating a regulatory framework to support the establishment, care and management of the affairs of small projects. The importance of developing mechanisms for financing small projects and ensure that credit extended to them. We recommend that at the end of the study: the need for the attention of those responsible for the management of small projects employing national labor, and ensure the training and skills development, with a focus on bringing in skilled labor. We also recommend the establishment of a formal independent entity such as the Ministry or body for the care and management of the affairs of small businesses, developing and developed. We also recommend the development of funding mechanisms and to ensure that credit provided to small enterprises.
